3. Portable Video Player (PVP) Works like an mp3 player (iPod) but you can also store videos and such. The ones I prefer are the kind that act like a tivo. You can hook them up to your TV and schedule it to record the shows you like. Apple notebook computer. In my opinion one of the best laptops as far as looks and also performance. Just a really great laptop. Digital Camera. Perfect for taking all the pictures you want, much better than traditional. Camcorder. Always great for looking back at great memories. Good setup for a home theatre. Good speakers, awsome tv, good seats, etc. This is pretty much everything I think that could get you started.
4. CNet maintains a list of their 100 top rated products. It's updated at least monthly, and includes PCs, laptops, software, PDAs, digital music, peripherals, digital cameras, camcorders, home entertainment products, and cell phones. I'd recommend it as a good starting point of things to look at.
