What is the latest trend and technologies of devoloping web pages?

- There are really two. First, the most recent, popular trend has been development of AJAX applications. These are Asynchronous JavaScript and XML pages. To put it simply, no reloading of pages to see new content. A user can search for products inline with the rest of the site without having to wait for page reloading. Second, the up and coming trend is going to be the semantic web. There's already talk of the Web 3.0 online. This will lead to more meaningful searches and better organization of aggregated content. I'd provide references, but there's far too many to decide. Do some searching on AJAX or Web 3.0 or check out w3c.org for plenty of information on both.
