Whats the latest trend in Technology that Uni Students are using?

Just wondering what the latest gadgets / systems are that most students use, apart from the standard laptop and ipod. Looking for info about palm pilots etc and info on other current technology such as online tutorials etc. Thanks.

1. Last year everyone had those memory stick things.... only wankers had palm pilots
2. i had an iPaq but it worked too slowly to take notes during lectures. the best thing i bought was a SMALL laptop. the bigger ones just get heavy if you lug them around all day.
