Why does Japan get all the cool electronics first? Every time I hear about the latest and greatest gadget the story always ends with 'Currently only available in Japan...' and Korea sometimes as well. And I'm not talking about a few month's delay between there and the US market , it's YEARS. As big as the US market is, it seems like they'd want to get stuff over here ASAP. What's the deal?

Whats wrong with me? Im 21, male from england and i find it hard to get on with people my own age. im friendly, caring and good natured (not that it gets you anywhere in life) i have some close friends although my biggest downfall that i can see is saying things without thinking especially when ive had a bit to drink. i find it hard to make new friends my own age but looking at how other people are is it because 1. i dont own a mobile phone or keep up with the latest gadgets 2. im not part of any scene im not a grunger, chav, emo, goth, skater etc though i love music from all genres, i dress in jeans and a T 3. i dont have any tattooes or piercings. 4. i dont try to act cool or tough, im not a show off i dont keep up with the lates jargon 5. i dont meet many people my own age as i work in an old peoples home 6. im outspoken and will speak my mind, i will call a spade a spade 7. Im very purile and have a silly sense of humor that a lot of people dont get 8. im fairly introverted when sober but get a few drinks down me and im an animal. 9. i suffer with depression and mood swings and sometimes i feel mentally unstable. i think ive got a reputation for being unhinged 10. im quite sensitive although i try to hide it. It doesnt bother me too much if im not liked, but the fact that im not really meeting anyone my age is getting me down because i know im missing out. but it seems like to fit in and get to meet people you have to look, act and think like everyone else within that scene and i cant and wont do that. although ive tryed to force myself to be more of an extrovert that doesnt seem to be helping at all.

Mechanical engineering help? Hey, Im 14 in Australia and my neighbour likes to build all these cool gadgets and stuff..he even built a mini tank he can ride on! and this got me interested in mechanical engineering or robotics, or electrical engineering. Im just wondering should I persue this? Im in year 8, Im not the best at maths, Im alright..im probaly average, mabye a tad below but im willing to buckup and learn. We havent learned physics yet, thats in year 9 I think. So should I persue this or just give up because I started the race to late?

Feeling down...? Does anyone out there ever feel like they are being left behind when it comes to their mate? I'm a stay at home mom with 4 kids. I take care of the house, the bills, the yard and the cars. I volunteer at school, carpool and do all the shopping. My husband works full time, and he does work hard. Yet he gets to go the movies during the day, he goes golfing, fancy lunches every day, and travels to the best places on retreats and get to see and do amazing things. I use to work, so I've seen both sides. But after 8 years of staying home taking care of the kids - I (sometimes) feel like the world is moving on without me. Hell, I didn't even know what YouTube was until about a month ago. I have a cell phone they used in the dinosuar age, while my husband knows about all the latest things, and has the newest and coolest of gadgets. Ahh, I do love my life but sometimes I feel like I'm being left behind. Does anyone else ever feel the same way?

Question regarding with the tenth commandment.? The tenth commandment, "You shall not covet . . . anything that is your neighbor's . . . You shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor's." When I was thinking about this and a memory along with today's teenage wants hit me. When i was little, the latest coolest must have was the spring butterfly hair clip, you see alot of girls that wants it and bought their own. Today's in The Wii, iphone or anything that is 'in' and everyones one(whatever is 'the new thing' is) Both of them seem similar. My question is Whatever is the new fashion or gadget, when some one sees someone else has it and wants it too then buys their own just because everyone has it, is that breaking the tenth commandment?

Ok..asking again (iPod chromatic)? Apple has recently unveiled its latest addition. Dubbed as the iPod Nano Chromatic, the gadget comes in nine cool new colors and a sexy curved aluminum design. The player also offers a 24-hours of battery life so you can enjoy your favorite music all day. If you want to shuffle your music, you just need to shake the player with your hand. The new iPod Nano Chromatic retails for between $149-$199, depending on the color. [Apple] Apple claims that the battery lasts for 24 HOURS, yeah right..mine only lasts for about 3-4 hours with ONLY the music playback, with backlight turned to 2 seconds and without changing the songs! If I play the games it only stands an hour. Either of these two with a fully charged battery and I just got my iPod yesterday so...should I return it to the store and ask for it to be replaced or what? Haha, well, the thing is I didn't get it from an apple store but from another one. We do have one, but I didn't know we did so I bought it in a store everyone buy their iPods in Estonia. I don't know what is up with this at all since I fully charged it for 3 hours as the manual said the first time I got it. Then the first time I only looked what's in the iPod, played the games, changed settings and such and later listened to only the music. It ran out in an hour, which was freaky. So I charged it again. This time I only played the music with the lock on, backlight off and not switching songs and it had been playing for about 4 hours, then it died../: Ok I did another test today. Meaning I charged it AGAIN. The others I did yesterday...so, anyway here are my results: no backlight, lock on, only music playback, without switching songs - battery life: 5 hours, then it dies. games only, backlight on, no music: battery life: 1 hour, then it dies. Meaning I am taking it to school with me tomorrow and recharging it for tomorrow, today. If it still does that while I'm in school, I'm going to return it to the store and ask back my money :). This is the first iPod I EVER bought and apparently they aren't worth it.
