I'm 21, and I just moved out of my dad and stepmom's place. my stepmom and I have mantained a close relationship over the years, and now that she's having a baby of her own, I want to give the coolest baby gift a stepson can give, but I'm at a loss on what to give her. Is it too early to start slowly registering for my baby shower? I'm just about three months along. My first son is 7 and i have nothing left from when he was small. I have some things being passed on to me, but i know that my sisters are going to throw me another baby shower, as it's already been talked about. She has 5 rescue cats (cat lady!) and she just discovered a feral cat that had babies in her garage, which she has been feeding (rescue group will spay and neuter). She also just rescued 2 hounds from the pound (they were going to get euthanized and she adopted them) anyway, I told her to stop because of the vet bills because it could get very bad if they get ill (which they will eventually). Baby mama Drama...what to do? My husband has a 4 yr old back home in florida that his baby momma just approached him with three months ago. He claims he knew there was a chance he could have gotten her preg, but they broke up a month after they had sex. So he never knew of a baby. When she called him and said they had a 4 yr old son, I was excited becuz I have had a hard itme having kids, and i LOVE children. Off top she was going off on him about seeing his son. So b4 his trip there I bought the kids sum cool stuff and made like a big a5s gift basket. At the last minute he asked me to tag along. So i did, we got htere and i got a hotel room, and rented a car. I never disrespected her by showing my face. He decided to bring Jr back to memphis with us for a month. We have been home two weeks with the lil guy. Ive taught him to call me by my first name, even tho i am his step mom. She calls OUR house daliy cursing me out. Sayin don't touch her son, dont feed him I may try to poisen him becuz Im jealous that she has > < has a baby with my husband. I would never hurt that child, I love him like i love my own. Is tap water really safe to use for newborns? Or how long can boiled and then cooled water be stored in fridge I just had my baby on 2/20th. She was given some ready to feed Similac formula at the hospital, but I also recieved a big canister of Similac powdered formula as a gift from some relatives. For the powdered stuff I will need to mix it with water and what I've been doing is boiling water, then letting it cool to room temperature before mixing it w/ the powder in the bottle. I stored the rest of the cooled/boiled water in pitchers in the fridge. How long is this water good for? Or should I boil a new batch every day? Also, just wondering about the tap water, some replied the other day saying that they use plain warm tap water to prepare their babies bottles. Is this really safe for newborns? I'll probably just go ahead and keep boiling my babies water just to be safe but was just curious about how many of u actually did use water straight from the tap for your newborns.

Last night Jr came to me and said that he wanted to talk to his brother so i dialed his home number and handed Jr the phone, his mom asked him to put me on the phone, as an innocent bystander, he handed me the phone and there she was going off. My husband goes off on her and has even threatened an order of retraint and court visitation but she's so ghetto it doesn't phase her!!! BTW...He came in calling me mom! I didn't tell him too, he is going on 5 and understands that I am his step mom, he is very smart. But i corrected him and just told him to call me by my name or even make up a silly nick name!

Birthday gift for husband? Today's his birthday. I always seem to forget to think stuff up BEFORE. Anyway, what are cool gift ideas that don't require much money. What would be good thoughtful gifts. I already have one special one in mind, but I would like other input. And I believe we're finally going to the movies tonight. (We have a baby, so we haven't been in about 5 months!) Baby Shower? I'm having a baby shower Saturday and I have gotten all the decorations. I'm just having trouble with the gift sacks I'm going to put together. I have candy to put in them and some cool little bubble rings, but I need a couple other things to put in them. what should I buy?
